The place of Κymi
Kymi is located in central Evia, the second largest island in Greece.
With significant power in ancient times, Evia created colonies in the West, the most important being the one located in Campania, Italy. People from Evia got there in 750 BC, bringing with them the written characters of the Euboic alphabet, which the locals kept making minor changes, to later create the Latin alphabet.
In a landscape of rich and rare biodiversity, where the alternation between the Aegean landscape and the mountain Kotylaia provides special features, Kymi and its traditional villages spread out.
